In my last post, I mentioned a song called "Nothing to Fear." Today, I want to share with you the first demo that I made many years ago. I wrote this song over 10 years ago, and it means a lot to me. As a person, I don't always make "rational" choices, and over time, I've found myself walking the path less traveled. Perhaps I've faced judgment from others, or maybe it was just my projected fear. Anyway, it’s a song about choosing to see a bottle half full instead of half empty, as the lyrics go: "When I have nothing, then everything is open wide."

After I wrote the song, I thought it was finished. Of course, I planned to make a better recording, but the lyrics were done. However, last year, when I sat at the piano playing it, I felt a new verse emerging. I knew I had to write it, and within 10 minutes or so, I had a new verse for the song. In many ways, this new verse reflects my spiritual growth over the last decade, and it reminded me of the magical process of songwriting. Like life itself, songwriting is a journey where the destination might change, and a song might never be finished as it is always evolving.

Anyway, here is the old demo that I want to share with you. I intend to make a new version of the song with the new verse in the next few months, and it will be interesting to see how the song turns out in terms of its expression.

I hope you enjoy the song, and until the next post, may you always have the courage to do what feels right, as there’s really nothing to fear :-)
