Back in 2009, I spent three months in the US and I lived with a host family in California. One day, the owner of the home told me he had just lost his friend last Monday, and he was grieving. The news somehow affected me profoundly, and later that day, I sat down and wrote this song within ten minutes.

It's a song that means a lot to me because it tells one of my core beliefs in life which is "I believe everything happens for a reason". But it's not a reason that is pre-defined. Rather, it's up to us to find the reason that makes sense to us, and it's in our power to decide whether we can learn from the experience.

I've made several demos of this song, and this is the latest demo version. I particularly love the violin interludes, as I feel that the two violins dance with each other in the song. And for the video, I've made it with Canva. It's actually the first time I use Canva for video editing and I have to say, it was a pleasant experience despite some minor frustrations.

Anyway, here is the song with some nice footages of nature. I hope you'll enjoy it :-)
